LISA HAZELL

Lisa Hazell is a storyteller and researcher who is passionate about her work. Her current project, "Paperdoll Journal Ancestry", explores Black family history during key historical periods. With over 20 years of experience, Lisa has meticulously examined historical records, unearthed photographs, and collaborated with television and film professionals.
Lisa's journey began at Howard University, where she combined her entrepreneurial spirit with her love for beauty and fashion. Since then, she has devoted herself to the world of motion picture production, gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, and has further honed her skills by earning a Master's degree in Communication in Contemporary Society from The Johns Hopkins University. Lisa has also pursued graduate studies focused on European Public Affairs and Public Relations at the University of Westminster.
As a lifelong learner, Lisa completed the Writer's Bootcamp and actively participated in the Oral History Summer School's 2020 cohort. Her commitment to storytelling, historical preservation, and community engagement shines through in every endeavor.
